Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Anti-Money Laundering Specialist to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with financial regulations by analyzing customer transactions and identifying potential risks. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to enhancing our compliance processes.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive investigations into alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems to identify potential suspicious activities.
• Evaluate client transactional behavior against expected benchmarks, investigating any discrepancies or unusual patterns.
• Perform thorough due diligence on flagged transactions to verify their legitimacy and mitigate risks.
• Prepare detailed and well-documented reports on findings for review by senior compliance personnel or regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence processes.
• Stay informed about current financial regulations and apply this knowledge effectively in daily compliance operations.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to remain up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
• Work closely with the technology team to optimize transaction monitoring systems for improved accuracy and efficiency.• Proficiency in accounting software systems and general accounting functions.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data manipulation.
• Demonstrated ability in high-volume data entry, with accuracy in both numeric and alphanumeric inputs.
• Familiarity with banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent critical thinking skills to analyze complex data and identify irregularities.
• Experience in performing detailed data entry tasks with precision.
• Ability to work collaboratively in team settings while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
