Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility required based on operational needs)
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, including pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery. This role ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and observe mechanical equipment in operation to identify issues or malfunctions.
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repair actions.
- Dismantle machinery to repair or replace defective parts as needed.
- Adjust, align, and calibrate machinery components and control instruments.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and maintain accurate service records.
- Lubricate and maintain machinery according to OEM specifications.
- Ensure equipment and repairs meet safety and operational standards.
- Perform other related duties as required to support facility operations.
Qualifications
- Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical repair within an industrial or manufacturing environment (or equivalent education and experience).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
- Proficient with repair tools, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and OEM standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Regularly required to walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Must have adequate vision to inspect, repair, and operate machinery safely.
Work Environment
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outdoor conditions, dust, debris, and strong odors.
- May work at heights or in environments with loud noise and vibration.
- Safety equipment and adherence to safety protocols are mandatory.
