Job Description
Southside Elementary School is seeking an Afterschool Childcare Coordinator to provide support and communications to the school’s Childcare program while managing enrollment levels, productivity, and efficiency, operating under school district policies. The position will start immediately to collect registrations over the summer.During the school year, thehours are 3:00-6:30pm Monday-Friday, following the school calendar.

Pay: $22/hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years successful experience in Childcare or related field
- Satisfactory completion of business, clerical and/or computer skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of best practice childcare procedures, school and childcare equipment operation, excellent oral and written communication skills, public speaking ability, proven organizational and administrative skills (accounting, bookkeeping and budgeting). Abilities include maintaining confidentiality, time and resource management, managing staff, volunteers, children, parents/guardians effectively.
REPORTS TO: Principal or designee
SUPERVISES: Afterschool Childcare Group Leaders and Aides
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overall compliance and operation of childcare program.
- Adhere to School policy and procedure.
- Ensure student safety.
- Provide quality customer service to parents, children, staff, and community members.
- Maintain current bookkeeping for all student tuition payment schedules including a system for the collection of past due balances. Provide administrative support including producing, processing, submitting, and filing for all reporting and correspondence.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift or maneuver up to 25 lbs.
