We are seeking an Experienced Commercial HVAC Supervisor to oversee and lead a team across a variety of commercial, industrial, and retail projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage workload, support technicians in the field, ensure technical excellence, and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams.
You’ll be responsible for planning, delegating, and supervising commercial HVAC installations and service work across South Florida. You'll be the person who ensures quality, safety, and efficiency across the board—without needing to be micromanaged yourself.
Location: This is a field-based position covering South Florida.
Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 hourly based on experience
Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8 AM - 5PM. Need Flexibility for on call and finishing the job (40/60 hours/week).
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise a field crew of 8 HVAC technicians
- Coordinate and manage daily work schedules, job priorities, and site logistics
- Ensure all HVAC systems are installed, serviced, or repaired to code and manufacturer specs
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and control issues; support technicians in diagnostics
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with project managers, clients, and internal leadership
- Ensure safety practices are followed and documentation is completed accurately
- Perform quality control inspections and support punch/warranty close-out tasks
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and technician development for the team
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role
- Strong technical ability across RTUs, split systems, VAVs, heat pumps, and controls
- Proven ability to manage field crews, delegate tasks, and coach others
- EPA Universal Certification (Required)
- Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to travel throughout South Florida and occasionally stay overnight (as needed)
- Skilled in job documentation, time management, and field troubleshooting
- Comfortable holding team members accountable while being fair and respectful
