Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conducting regular audits of products and processes to assure adherence to company policies and quality standards.
- Identify and communicate deviations identified in process or product requirements.
- Assure timely identification and containment of defective products to prevent escape to the next process or external customer.
- Prepare daily process and product audit report for communication to next production shift as well as departmental and plant management.
- Collaborating with other departments to correct deviation from process or product requirements.
- Providing training and guidance to production operators on product quality requirements.
- Communication with production operators of product quality concerns through Quality Alerts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong knowledge of quality control methods and standards
- An understanding of hose manufacturing processes, equipment, measuring devices and their relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- 2 Years’ plant experience or equivalent training.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting, standing and walking.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, squat, lift and reaching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
