Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join our client's team of seasoned litigators. Our client is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented associate with a minimum of four 4 +years of experience in commercial litigation to support our growing caseload.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex business disputes, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, and participating in depositions, mediations, and trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution under the supervision of partners.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and memoranda of law.
- Take and defend depositions, including of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Appear in court for hearings, status conferences, and motion arguments.
- Assist in trial preparation and participate in trials, arbitrations, and mediations as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
- Stay current on developments in commercial and business litigation law.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in Florida; federal court admission preferred.
- 4+ years of commercial litigation experience, preferably at a law firm.
- Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Experience handling discovery, motion practice, and depositions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow professionally.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience in financial services, real estate, or employment litigation.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms and litigation support tools.
Trial experience or trial readiness training.
