The Lead Technician / Crew Chief coordinates, monitors, and performs work activities on residential and commercial projects to successfully fulfill service needs and facilitate a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and perform production work according to SERVPRO processes and ensure quality control
  • Manage the customer and client experience and overall customer satisfaction tracked with online reviews.
  • Communicate clear expectations to restoration technicians, coach and train them, and supervise their activities
  • Document a detailed and accurate job file to support the services provided
  • Monitor assigned jobs from start to finish
  • Manage labor and consumable item usage on assigned projects
  • Communicate with production manager and office staff on project progress and issues
  • Manage data using industry software programs
  • Communicate, follow and enforce all OSHA guidelines for job safety
  • Be readily available for on-calls and emergencies

Requirements

  • Experience in restoration work related to clean up from damage caused by water, fire, and mold is required.
  • Experience leading and supervising a team in the restoration industry is required
  • IICRC certifications highly preferred
  • Experience using industry related software programs
  • Ability to travel locally or out of state when necessary
  • Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends as required
  • Ability to be On-Call as needed
  • Valid drivers license
  • Able to comply with franchise guidelines
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Preferable bilingual (English/Spanish), English is mandatory.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds unassisted and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Exposure to chemicals
  • Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing,
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
  • Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces under buildings)
  • Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects
