Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Apopka, FL, serving a K-12 school environment. This contract position offers the chance to work full-time within the school year calendar, focusing on supporting students communication development and speech needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and assessments for students from PreK to 2nd grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor progress and support student success.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by school policies and state regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to classroom personnel regarding speech and language interventions.
- Participate in meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) conferences, to advocate for student services.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with early childhood and elementary-aged students.
- Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology assessment tools and therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners in a school setting.
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in Apopka, FL.
- Full-time (37.5 hours per week), typically 8 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid break.
- Contract duration spans the current school year, starting as soon as possible through late May.
