Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical installations and maintenance within commercial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Commercial Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using various tools including ohmmeters and power tools.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper system functionality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.
- Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects to integrate electrical systems effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various work environments.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical systems.
- Experience with high voltage, low voltage, renovation, and construction site environments.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of electrical work.
