Job Title: Welder
Shift: First Shift | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Location: Orlando, FL

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for assembling and fabricating metal components using various welding techniques while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced production environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding to fabricate, repair, or assemble metal components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand job specifications.

  • Measure, cut, and prepare materials using tools such as grinders, torches, and saws.

  • Properly align and fit metal parts prior to welding.

  • Inspect finished welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Identify defects in welds or materials and make necessary adjustments or repairs.

  • Conduct durability testing on welds (e.g., tensile and bend tests).

  • Maintain, clean, and calibrate welding equipment for peak performance.

  • Ensure strict compliance with safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.

  • Identify and report workplace hazards or unsafe practices.

  • Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and production staff to meet deadlines.

  • Accurately document work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance records.

  • Contribute ideas for improving welding processes and production efficiency.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.

  • Knowledge of welding codes, standards, and workplace safety protocols.

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Welding certification (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

GMP & HACCP COMPLIANCE:

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices at all times (e.g., wear hairnets, clean uniforms, etc.).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods (up to 10 hours).

  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including frequent movement and manual tasks.

  • Must have adequate vision (close, distance, peripheral) and hearing to safely perform job duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Exposure to varying temperatures between 45&degree;F and 95&degree;F.

  • Moderate to high noise levels due to production equipment—hearing protection required.

  • Work in a manufacturing facility with regular exposure to machinery, welding fumes, and standard industrial conditions.
