Job Summary
The Spray Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate application of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products to residential and commercial properties. This role requires a skilled professional who can operate and calibrate various sprayers and spreaders, diagnose property needs, and work independently while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply lawn, shrub, and pest control treatments in accordance with label instructions and safety regulations.
- Calibrate and operate spray equipment and spreaders for accurate product application.
- Identify and address turf, plant, weed, and pest issues.
- Maintain detailed service records, including materials used and treatments performed.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of all equipment.
- Work independently to complete assigned routes and schedules.
- Communicate professionally with customers, answering basic treatment questions when needed.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 3 years experience spraying residential and commercial properties.
- Knowledge of calibrating a variety of sprayers and spreaders.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Honesty, integrity, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- State certification or license for pesticide application (or ability to obtain).
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or pest control industries.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
