The Specialist, Applications & Workflow will support all business units within Mosaic Health and is responsible for on-the-job coaching, focusing on teaching specific areas of knowledge for clinical, clerical and provider positions in a medical practice to drive medical margin, including healthcare systems (e.g. EHR, telehealth, pre-registration, etc.) and organizational best practices. The A&W Specialist will analyze data related to workflow, processes and reporting to evaluate the efficiency of current-state business processes and will implement changes to improve provider experience on Mosaic's platforms. The A&W Specialist will work with the A&W Supervisor to request new, or updates to existing, coaching materials.


The Specialist, Applications & Workflow will support and serve as a role model for new clinical and clerical staff members, using Millennium Best Practices, including proper documentation of BOI and documentation of Quality Measures, while our care teams become acclimated to their new workflows. A&W Specialists will work side-by-side with staff, while in integration training status, clerically and clinically and will troubleshoot workflows and systems usage. The A&W Specialist will be responsible for reporting findings for all coaching and site visits, giving status reports to the A&W Supervisor, to help identify successes and areas for improvement.



Responsibilities


  • Will travel to all offices including newly acquired practices to train, observe, validate, and improve efficiencies via various coaching methodologies, particularly in the first 2-3 weeks of a new integration.
  • Hosts Remote Provider training for new hires as well as leads and assists with workshops and/or coaching for the purpose of conveying and gathering information required to perform job functions
  • As needed, observe clinic workflows and provides feedback to accompany monthly reporting and will work with staff as needed to improve workflows and assist in meeting our goals.
  • Reviews provider notes and staff buckets to ensure best practices, and that Quality, BOI, and all clinical components are addressed, reporting to Supervisor any findings that can be addressed at practice level.
  • Delivers new materials to implement new/updated workflows and best practices to care teams, leveraging Mosaic's EMR to drive medical margin.
  • As needed based on evaluations, will work with clinical staff to help improve skills and ensure Mosaic best practices.
  • Participates in regular skills evaluations to ensure most up to date practices are in use and regularly scheduled Coach improvement sessions and deliver new materials to the offices.
  • Works alongside Super Ssers to Coach and keep up to date on newest workflows, to equip the Super Users to continually train and improve processes in their clinics and regions.
  • Support established offices via remote support with onsite support given as needed.
  • May work alongside Quality, Risk and Coding Educators in clinics as needed to support Value Based Programs.
  • Provide feedback to Supervisor for any questions / concerns from the office in regard to Quality / Coding workflows.
  • Identifies opportunities for workflow improvement, such as operational changes or external developments, that A&W could improve, enhancing the provider experience with Millennium platforms
  • Works with A&W Supervisor using various metrics, reports and discussions to identify and assess specific coaching needs within current practices and newly integrated practices to assimilate to Mosaic's culture
  • Collaborate with L & D, Integrations, Innovation and Clinical Systems team
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years in a medical practice organization
  • Preferred CMA/RMA or LPN
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in database software
  • EMR experience, preferably with Athena
  • A commitment to providing excellent service to internal team members and patients.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.


Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Ability to lift to 15 lbs. independently not to exceed 50 lbs. without help.
