POSITION FUNCTION/OVERVIEW:

The Alumni Coordinator's primary role and responsibility is to maintain communication and develop rapport with alumni and their families, through consistent follow up calls, support and resource assistance. The Coordinator is responsible for calls, documentation and daily communication with manager on progress, problems and needs - in order to maintain the health and growth of the alumni and family programs.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote the mission, values and vision of organization.

  • Provide excellent customer service for clients; practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance HIPAA requirements.

  • Will work at 40 hours per week and willing to work overtime

  • Will utilize call list provided daily

  • Will perform Alumni follow up calls at:

    • First 24-48hr

    • Weekly or Bi-weekly (if directed) for first 4 weeks

    • 1 month

    • 2 months

    • 3 months

    • 6 months

    • 9 months

    • 12 months

  • Will perform alumni follow ups by: Phone and Text (Email as needed)

  • Will encourage each Alumni to provide email to receive information about Alumni Support Services

  • Will encourage each Family to provide email to receive information about Family Support Services

  • Will follow protocol with how to perform follow up calls

  • Will follow protocol with gathering and documenting information in Salesforce

  • Will follow protocol when dealing with an alumnus in relapse

  • Will facilitate patient support and educational groups/meetings as directed

  • Will facilitate Alumni sponsored patient discharge group services as directed

  • Will be present for all scheduled Alumni and Family functions

  • Will assist in facilitation of Alumni and Family Support meetings

  • Assist Administrative Coordinator (supervisor) as needed

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Knowledge of the 12-step program of recovery.

  • Active in personal wellness.

  • Alcohol and drug free, in recovery for at least one year.

  • Ability to follow direction

  • Relevant computer software and hardware applications proficiency – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Electronic Medical Records, and/or other scheduling applications; KIPU preferred.

SKILLS:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

  • Manage multiple tasks; ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.

  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

  • Maintain healthy boundaries.

  • Knowledge of drug-free workplace policies.

  • Typing skills of 40wpm

  • Basic phone skills
