Position Overview
The Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating between various teams, managing resources, and maintaining safety protocols on the job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site to ensure project milestones are met.
- Manage daily operations and oversee the work of subcontractors and personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, including OSHA standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with the project manager to plan and execute pre-construction and construction phases effectively.
- Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
- Conduct regular inspections of project progress and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure effective communication between project teams and stakeholders regarding project updates and changes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial and multifamily construction.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, facade and structural components of buildings.
- Experience with scheduling and resource management in construction projects.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations, specifically OSHA guidelines.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
