- Move loads around the truck yard and to satellite facility.
- Ability to back up trailers to dock doors, often with other trailers on either side of the dock.
- Verify loads for accuracy.
- Ensure trailer is in quality working condition prior to relocating.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicle.
- Ensure load matches paperwork after leaving all sites.
- Safe and legal operation of a commercial vehicle.
- Various other duties and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Class A CDL.
- Good customer service & teamwork skills.
- Good physical condition; must be able to get in and out of trucks several times per day.
- Able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather.
- Good backing skills.
- Recent verifiable, driving experience or related.
- Current DOT medical card.
- No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years
- MVR required for interview (current, dated within 30 days of application)
- Prior to employment, able to pass a complete DOT physical, drug screen, criminal background check and road test
- Available for any shift and weekends as needed
- Able to lift 55 pounds.
- Able to prove they have a right to work in the United States.
- Prefer high school graduates or GEDs.
- Sufficient work experience to be successful on the job.
Work Conditions
- Use of required personal protective equipment.
- Operation and use of necessary tools or equipment.
- Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
