Job Description

I’m partnering with a client to hire an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring safe execution, high-quality delivery, client satisfaction, and strong financial performance. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives managing complex construction projects, coordinating teams, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as the primary client contact, assessing scope, resources, and execution strategy
  • Prepare detailed project estimates by reviewing specifications, drawings, takeoffs, and contract documents
  • Lead and supervise all phases of construction to ensure adherence to design, budget, and schedule
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and resources in collaboration with operations leadership
  • Plan and oversee onsite functions including scheduling, engineering, and material control
  • Provide technical guidance, interpret drawings, and recommend construction methods and equipment
  • Manage change orders, extra work estimating, and contractual obligations
  • Conduct cost analysis, prepare budgets, and monitor project financial performance
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and delegate tasks to ensure on-time, accurate completion
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Act as liaison between the company, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, contractual, and industry regulations and standards
  • Support sales and marketing teams with technical input and project knowledge as needed
  • Address project-related issues, questions, or concerns throughout the project lifecycle


What My Client Is Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a combination of education and relevant technical experience
  • 8+ years of experience in construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, safety, scheduling, and estimating
  • Experience with government (federal, state, and municipal) projects, contract administration, and procurement
  • Solid working knowledge of construction law, change orders, and dispute resolution
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, team-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to exercise sound independent judgment and advise leadership on complex project issues
