Golf Course Maintenance Employee

We are seeking a dependable Golf Course Maintenance Employee to join our grounds team. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a reliable means of transportation to and from work. An ideal candidate will have previous golf course and landscaping experience.

This position is essential to the daily care and presentation of the golf course and croquet lawns, ensuring that playing surfaces and landscaped areas are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mowing of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and croquet lawns.
- Note: Walk mowing is our primary method of mowing. We are a small private par-3 golf club and do not have many riding mower positions available.

• Perform cup cutting and course setup: move tee markers, change hole locations, and ensure playable conditions daily.

• Operate maintenance equipment (mowers, utility carts, blowers, etc.) safely and effectively.

• Assist with irrigation: hand-watering, checking sprinkler heads, and reporting leaks or issues.

• Perform routine golf course tasks such as bunker raking, divot filling, edging, topdressing, and debris removal.

• Help with landscape maintenance: trimming, pruning, planting, and seasonal projects.

• Follow all safety protocols and report hazards or equipment problems immediately.

• Work closely with supervisors and crew members to complete tasks efficiently and to quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Must have a reliable way to get to work.

• At a minimum, should have experience with walk mowing or demonstrate a willingness to learn.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform outdoor physical work in Florida weather conditions.

• Strong work ethic, good attitude, reliability, and attention to detail.

Schedule & Compensation

• Standard schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM four days per week, one half-day (until 11:30 AM), plus a short morning shift on either Saturday or Sunday (6:30–9:30 AM).

• We are also open to part-time employees, especially those able to walk mow greens.
