Location: Sunrise, FL (In-Office)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $125,000 – $160,000 (DOE)

Position Overview

The Senior Estimator will join a growing Preconstruction team based in the Sunrise office. This role is ideal for:

A seasoned Senior Estimator, or

An experienced Project Manager with strong estimating exposure seeking a dedicated Preconstruction role

The position focuses on developing accurate, competitive estimates for ground-up commercial construction projects, typically valued at $20M+, while collaborating closely with internal operations teams, design professionals, ownership, and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and GMP estimates for ground-up commercial projects

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and pricing evaluations across all trades

Lead and support the preconstruction process from pursuit through final proposal submission

Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor bids

Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects, Engineers, and Ownership during preconstruction

Participate in value engineering, constructability reviews, and cost-saving initiatives

Support proposal development, bid presentations, and owner interviews as required

Assist with the handoff from Preconstruction to Operations to ensure project continuity

Track market conditions, labor availability, and material pricing trends

Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in commercial construction

Proven experience in commercial estimating or preconstruction

Strong background in ground-up projects valued at $20M+

Experience as a Senior Estimator or Project Manager with hands-on estimating responsibilities

Solid understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing

Ability to accurately analyze drawings, specifications, and scope documents

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a long-term career focus

Ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs

Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications

Software proficiency required:

Microsoft Project

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Procore

Bluebeam (required)

Advanced Excel skills

Experience across diverse commercial project types strongly preferred, including:

Tilt-wall

Light industrial

High-rise multifamily

Hospitality (wood-frame or podium)

Healthcare

Retail

Multi-story self-storage

Ability to work independently with minimal structure, exercising sound judgment

Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and m
