Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 setting in Miami, FL, with a focus on pediatric outpatient care. This contract position spans the current school year, with potential extensions or conversion to permanent status.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments, evaluations, and providing direct individual therapy services to children aged 2 to 18 years. The caseload primarily involves children with mild to moderate speech and language delays, including challenges in pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, writing, articulation, and autism spectrum disordermainly high-functioning autism. There is no work with medically fragile populations, and group therapy sessions are not required. The SLP will also collaborate with educational staff by attending Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid Pediatric SLP experience
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY)
- Experience working within a school-based setting or comparable educational environment
- Strong knowledge of working with diverse pediatric populations, including those with autism spectrum disorders
- Ability to conduct detailed assessments and design individualized treatment plans
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and IEP participation
