This contract position runs from August 12, 2025, through May 23, 2026, with the potential for renewal based on performance and mutual agreement. The schedule offers flexibility, with roles available for 1 to 5 days per week, averaging 7.5-hour workdays.

Positions are offered at multiple schools across a wide geographic area including Apollo Beach, Belmont, Burnett Middle, Colson Elementary, Doby Elementary, Progress Village Middle, Riverview High, Stewart Middle, Trapnell Elementary, Turner Bartels K-8, Witter Elementary, Yates Elementary, and Young Middle Magnet. Candidates should consider commute times carefully, as the district spans from Oldsmar to Plant City and down to Ruskin, potentially requiring over an hour travel one way.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Florida SLP license required before start date
  • CCCs or Certificate of Clinical Competence holders preferred; new CFs accepted but must provide own clinical supervision
  • Ability to complete district-mandated fingerprinting and clearance processes (additional fees apply, approximately $93)
  • Experience working with a caseload of approximately 55 students is typical
  • Comfort working in dedicated or shared therapy spaces
  • Strong organizational and communication skills essential

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language services to K-12 students within assigned caseload
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as required

Benefits and Work Environment:

  • Laptop provided to support documentation and therapy planning
  • Flexible scheduling options allowing personalized workweek arrangement
  • Opportunity to work onsite in a dynamic, supportive educational environment

Candidates are encouraged to consider their commute preferences and provide their zip code to match with appropriate school locations. Interested applicants will undergo a Zoom interview with the districts SLP coordinator, focusing on fit within the speech team and district culture.
