Position Summary:
Assists Emergency Department nursing personnel as required. Performs procedures for which they are prepared in a safe and efficient manner under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Reports all pertinent information to appropriate personnel.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required licensures/certifications
EMT/Paramedic Certification or
PCT Certification or
Foreign Medical Graduate
BLS certification
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of principles of patient assessment skills, including performance of EKG's is a must. Computer skills preferred. Bilingual preferred.
Experience
Minimum of one (1) year as a PCT, EMT or Foreign Medical Graduate.
