Job Title: Probate Paralegal
Location: Seminole, Florida, 33772
Salary/Payrate: $79,000- $83,000, bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!
Work Environment: Onsite five days a week
Term: Full-Time
Referral Fee: AMS will pay $500 should the person you refer gets hired
Job Description:
- Manage day-to-day probate administration cases from opening through closing
- Review, organize, and analyze documentation received from clients, courts, and third parties
- Prepare, file, and track probate pleadings, notices, and related legal documents
- Monitor and manage all probate deadlines and court requirements
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, creditors, financial institutions, realtors, and court personnel
- Review and summarize correspondence and facilitate attorney-client communications
- Conduct legal research related to probate administration issues
- Coordinate matters involving related trust, guardianship, or litigation proceedings, both internal and external
- Assist with guardianship matters as assigned
- Communicate with Judicial Assistants and interpret judicial practice preferences
- File documents and exhibits through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on probate administration experience
- Trust and guardianship experience preferred, but not required
- Florida Bar Certification a plus
- Proficient with online portals for Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough County Clerks of Court and Property Appraisers’ Offices
- Strong understanding of Florida probate procedures and deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong research and analytical capabilities
- Outstanding client service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a paperless, technology-driven environment
- 5+ years’ experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Experience with Practice Manager software is a plus
