JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary: Overall responsibilities are to create detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aid design (CAD) software and/or other software. Collaborating closely with the design team while demonstrating strong technical abilities, accuracy and meeting project specifications.
Responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
- Create and update architectural drawings for custom homes using CAD software using AutoCAD or Revit
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to translate ideas and requirements into accurate construction plans
- Ensure drawings are precise and meet all project-specific requirements, including dimensions, specifications, and material details
- Convert rough sketches, concepts, and specifications into precise, detailed drawings
- Create 3-D models and renderings
- Adjust interior design CAD drawings based on revisions as requested
- Print CAD schematics for use by designers, architects and construction manager
- Maintain and organize the Company’s CAD file library
- Track priorities and deliverable dates accordingly
- Support the Design Director to meet project schedules, budgets and deadlines
- Fill out weekly timecard with hours allocated by job and non-billable hour categories
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation Range: $30.00 per hour ($64,000 annually)
Following probationary period:
- Seven paid major holidays per calendar year
- Five paid personal days on a calendar year basis (pro-rated)
- Ten paid vacation days within first year of employment
- Ten paid vacation days during second year of employment
- Fifteen paid vacation days at completion of 2 years of employment through 5 years of employment
- Twenty paid vacation days at completion of five years of employment

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field or Equivalent Experience
Skills Required:
- Advanced or intermediate experience in Autodesk AutoCAD
- 3D Modeling and Rendering working knowledge and proficiency
- Sketchup and Revit experience preferred/a plus
- Knowledge of architectural and design terminology a plus
- Ability to label, set up sheets, and plot architectural plans to scale
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Ability to troubleshoot design and drafting challenges
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong time management to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional and friendly demeanor
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to travel by car
- Must be able to sit for extended period
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment
