Director of Infection Prevention West Palm Beach, FL Area
Compensation: $108,000 $162,000, depending on experience
An excellent opportunity is available for a Director of Infection Prevention to join a respected 200+ bed healthcare facility located near West Palm Beach, Florida. This leadership position offers the chance to play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and quality of patient care by directing all infection prevention and control initiatives across the organization.
Position Overview
The Director of Infection Prevention is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the facility-wide infection control program. This includes oversight of surveillance, analysis, reporting, and compliance monitoring activities. The leader in this role will develop and evaluate infection prevention standards and practices to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, while driving continuous improvement and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of the infection prevention and control program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Conduct surveillance, data analysis, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).

Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership to develop and enforce infection prevention policies and protocols.

Educate staff and medical personnel on infection control standards and best practices.

Partner with department leaders to identify risks and implement corrective actions.

Serve as the primary resource for infection prevention expertise and regulatory readiness.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required)

Licensure: Current Florida RN license (required)

Certification: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of management experience within an Infection Control department in an acute care setting

Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and regional infection control regulations
