We are 10 and 2 Traffic School and we are a veteran and family friendly company looking to hire both full-time and part-time Instructors. As a Driving Instructor, you will play a crucial role in teaching individuals the necessary skills to become safe and responsible drivers. Your ability to effectively communicate and manage a classroom setting will contribute to the success of our students. If you are passionate about education and have a desire to make a positive impact on others, we encourage you to apply. Currently qualified instructors and those seeking training and certification are both welcome to apply. As an Examiner you will be trained and certified in administering the State driving Exam and will float between two offices in Orange Park and Duval County to perform testing as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct driving lessons or tests for students of various ages and experience levels
- Provide clear and concise instructions on driving techniques and safety rules
- Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment for students
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to enhance student learning
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and evaluations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with students or in adult education is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong classroom management skills to ensure a productive learning environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
Work Schedule:
- 5-10 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Teaching: 2 years
- Driving: 7 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred, no tickets or accidents in the last 3 years. Required, no suspension, cancelation or revocations ever.)
- Must pass FBI and FDLE background checks.
Work Location: In person
