Job Description

We are seeking a locums Emergency Medicine Physician toprovide high-quality, patient-centered care at a busy and modern emergencydepartment in West Palm Beach, Florida. This is a great opportunity to join asupportive team in a high-acuity setting, with flexible scheduling andexcellent clinical resources.

Position Overview:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 6 + month assignments with potential for extension
• Schedule: Flexible 8–12 hour shifts:
o Day and night coverage available (6a–6p, 8a–7p, 5p–5a, 6p–6a, 7a–7p, 7p–7a)
o No call required
o Minimum of 4–6 shifts per month required

Facility Highlights:

• Annual ED Volume: ~60,000 visits
• ED Beds: 22-bed, newly renovated department with advanced imaging andtechnology
• Patients per Hour: 2–3, depending on volume and shift
• Admission Rate: 17%
• Pediatric Volume: 15%
• Critical Care Rate: 9%
• EMR: Meditech (eMAR and EDM)

Special Designations:

• Advanced Certification as a Primary Stroke Center
• Recognized by The Joint Commission for performance on key quality measures
• Largest provider of behavioral health services in Palm Beach County

Team Structure:

• 8 Emergency Medicine Physicians per shift
• 6 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) per shift
• Highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team

Requirements:
• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
• Active Florida Medical License
• DEA License
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS Certifications
