ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

JOB OPPORTUNITY: Counselor – Withdrawal Management Program

As a Counselor, you’ll use your skills in counseling and assessment to guide clients through some of their most critical moments. You’ll work one-on-one, in group settings, and alongside a dedicated team of professionals who share your commitment to mental health and recovery. This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to be part of something impactful, challenging, and deeply rewarding.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide substance abuse and mental health counseling in individual and group sessions
  • Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments
  • Manage your own caseload while collaborating on care for additional clients
  • Support clients through crisis intervention and recovery services
  • Coordinate treatment plans, monitor progress, and provide ongoing documentation
  • Offer education and support to individuals, families, and the community

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related human services field
  • At least 1 year of counseling experience in individual, family, or group settings
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and documenting in an electronic health record system
  • Compassion, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping others

Bonus Points

  • Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) credential preferred
