POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Integration and Quality Director is responsible for overseeing the integration, ongoing operations, and quality management of the Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute (TGHCI) at Lakeland Regional Health Hollis Cancer Center (LRH HCC). This is a hybrid role ensuring the effective administration, regulatory readiness, patient experience, and quality measures and accreditations of a regional oncology partnership. This role provides operational insight across oncology services, leads oncology accreditation and compliance activities, and drives continuous quality improvement initiatives that support exceptional patient care, safety, and patient experience. The manager serves as a key liaison between clinical teams, administrative leadership, and external partners to maintain high-reliability oncology operations.


CORE ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee clinical integration and patient care pathways between LRH and TGH
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary clinics and tumor boards to meet regulatory/compliance of quality programs
  • Oversee reporting and certification management of any existing oncology quality programs (ACS CoC, NAPBC, NAPRC, QOPI, etc.) and support development of new programs
  • Work with leadership teams at both centers to operationalize strategic initiatives that enhance the quality of oncology care and expand the footprint of services offered at the partnering organizations
  • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and nursing staff to optimize clinic flow, enhance patient satisfaction, and streamline care coordination
  • Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and departments, guiding patients through their care journey across LRH and TGH networks
  • Investigate and resolve complex patient issues with professionalism and a service-first mindset
  • Lead oncology quality improvement initiatives and special projects focused on enhancing patient experience and clinic operations
  • Leverages the organization’s analytic environment to help guide data-driven decision-making and inform operations and quality objectives. Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect quality and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s (MBA/MHA) preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of oncology operations, quality, or performance improvement experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements, oncology accreditations, project management, and data analysis tools (Excel, EMR systems preferred).


REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSE OR REGISTRATION:

  • CPHQ, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or comparable professional certification (preferred but not required).
  • Certification in Epic or other EHR systems is preferred (if applicable).
  • Must meet all institutional onboarding and competency requirements, including regulatory and compliance training.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:

  • Advanced expertise in oncology quality programs and regulatory standards (ACS CoC, NAPBC, QOPI, etc.), with strong ability to interpret data, create reports, and support quality and accreditation initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-site initiatives, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and serve as an effective liaison between clinical and administrative teams.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, analytics platforms, and EMR systems, with proven ability to streamline workflows, solve complex operational problems, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-reliability healthcare environment.
