Key Responsibilities
- Employs qualified personnel and ensures adequate staff education and evaluations.
- Evaluates the performance of the Director of Clinical Services.
- Assists the Director of Clinical Services in managing clinical teams and planning.
- Interprets operational indicators to detect changes in census, as well as increases or decreases in volume, which may impact staffing levels, revenues, or expenses.
- Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding licensure and certification of organization personnel and maintains compliance to the ACHC Home Care standards.
- Consistently follows and uniformly enforces agency policies and procedures to set an example for employees.
- Assesses employees on an ongoing basis to ascertain their understanding and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Assists with the evaluation of organization performance via performance improvement program, productivity, quarterly, and annual reviews.
- Responsible for fiscal planning, budgeting, and management of branch location(s).
- Ensures the quality and safe delivery of home health services provided through the agency.
- Supervises all business affairs and day-to-day operations.
- Assists in the development of organizational goals.
- Stays informed about changes in home health and shares information with the appropriate personnel of the organization.
- Promotes home health referrals in the health care community and aligns with the promotion of collaboration with business development teams.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications
- Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state, or a licensed physician in the state of Florida, or holds an undergraduate degree with experience in health service administration with at least 3 years supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or a related health care program.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional administrative personnel.
- Ability to market and deal tactfully with all stakeholders.
- Ability to deal effectively with high levels of stress.
- Demonstrates excellent observation, organization, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Computers, Microsoft, EMR, and Technology.
- Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations, and ACHC standards.
