Job Summary
The Traveling Installer is responsible for installing proprietary thermoplastic, epoxy, or other decorative concrete overlays for a fast-growing leader in concrete surfacing. This role supports the Foreman in ensuring installation efficiency, including transporting materials, prepping sites, installing products, site cleanup, and warehouse organization. Frequent travel to outdoor job sites across Florida is required and may vary based on project schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work under the direction and supervision of the Foreman on job sites.
- Load necessary materials onto work trucks for each days duties.
- Drive vehicles to and from work sites, including vans, trucks, and vehicles towing trailers/mixers.
- Operate power and hand tools (e.g., grinders, drills, quickie saws, Hiltis).
- Move and transport mixers, full wheelbarrows, and other materials.
- Follow procedures for chemical agents and pressure washing equipment to avoid property damage.
- Cover walkways and surfaces with protective materials (plastic, cardboard, etc.).
- Chip, scrape, grind, and prepare concrete surfaces for overlays.
- Prime surfaces and fill holes/cracks before application.
- Spread, level, and smooth overlay materials using trowels, gauge rakes, screed boxes, and other tools.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site as directed by the Foreman.
- Repair incidental damage (e.g., paint touch-ups, irrigation fixes).
- Clean and maintain all tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.
- Organize and maintain warehouse cleanliness.
- Regularly clean and wash company trucks.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- General knowledge of operating hand and power tools.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience working outdoors in construction, concrete installation, or decorative surfacing.
- Experience in troweling concrete, decorative overlays, terrazzo, or epoxy rock.
Additional Skills and Abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred.
- Excellent customer service and teamwork.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This is a physically demanding, hands-on role requiring work in a variety of outdoor environments. The employee must be able to:
- Work outdoors for extended periods of time, including in extreme heat, humidity, rain, and other Florida weather conditions.
- Perform tasks that involve bending, lifting heavy materials (up to 70 lbs), standing for long durations, and operating machinery.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Comply with all OSHA safety guidelines, including heat illness prevention protocols (e.g., hydration, rest breaks, shaded areas).

Eligibility Requirements
- Must pass a background check.
- Must have a valid Florida drivers license.
- Must have a driving record that meets company insurance eligibility, including:
- No DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the past 5 years.
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- No license suspensions or revocations related to moving violations in the past 3 years.
- No DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the past 5 years.
- A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check will be conducted in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Written notice and consent are required, and candidates may dispute any adverse findings.
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
