Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A 12-month contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a pediatric outpatient clinic located in Homestead, FL. This role involves working one-on-one with children aged 2 to 18, focusing on individual therapy rather than group sessions. The caseload primarily includes mild to moderate speech and language challenges, with no medically fragile patients.
Key responsibilities include overseeing assessments and evaluations, providing direct therapy, and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. The position will focus on areas such as pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading and writing delays, articulation, and support for children with high-functioning autism.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Pediatric SLP experience preferred
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working in school settings (K-12) is advantageous
- Strong skills in delivering individualized therapy plans
- Ability to conduct thorough assessments and contribute to IEP development
