Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Kids Coordinator | Early Childhood role at Journey Church is to manage our Journey Kids Early Childhood program in order to create a fantastic & unforgettable experience for kids and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee implementation and execution of the Journey Kids Early Childhood ministry at the assigned campus
- Prepare weekly curriculum and supplies
- Stock classrooms
- Ensure scheduled volunteers are prepared for their roles (email out curriculum)
- Oversee monthly scheduling of Journey Kids volunteers for Early Childhood classes
- Weekly schedule communication with updates/reminders as well as follow-up phone calls
- Send out monthly birthday cards to kids and leaders
- Build and develop a leadership team for Early Childhood (Coaches)
- Regular vision casting and community building activities
- Regular Shepherding Meetings (1-1's) with volunteers
- Plan and prepare regular community building activities for volunteer team
- Recruit, onboard and train all Early Childhood Volunteers
- Be the Champion of Kids Ministry in partnership with the Lead Kids Coordinator at the assigned Campus
- Perform other duties as assigned
Sunday Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Birth through Preschool Journey Kids at assigned campus
Qualifications | Experience:
- Strong communicator and interpersonal skills
- Servant Leader with a love for people
- Team Player while still being able to work well independently
- Highly organized in time, material, and people resources
- Skilled in managing projects
- Capability to handle multiple projects effectively
- Experience in organizing multiple people
- Organized; flexible; able to Multitask
- Passionate about children and families
- Some ministry experience preferred but not required

- Commitment to personal spiritual growth
- Models standards and expectations of leaders within Journey Church
- Aligns with Journey's spiritual beliefs and staff values
- Spiritually mature: models the lifestyle of a passionate follower of Jesus

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This role assists with the supervision of the Kids Dream Team Members
