- Measurement and Cutting: Take precise measurements and use a variety of hand and power tools to cut wood pieces to the exact specifications required for assembly.
- Assembly: Join cut pieces of wood together to build the final product, which can include cabinets, shelves, tables, and other furniture.
- Installation: Install the finished cabinets or furniture on-site at the client's location.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform repairs on existing cabinetry and maintain tools and the workshop.
Essential skills and qualifications
- Woodworking Skills: Proficiency with both traditional and modern woodworking techniques and tools.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on detail is crucial for ensuring accuracy in measurements and the quality of the finished product.
- Mathematical Skills: A good understanding of math is needed for measurements and calculations.
