Job Description:
Compassion Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate per-diem Nurses (LPN or RN) to join our clinical team. The nurse will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in our residential mental health treatment program. This position is ideal for an experienced nurse with a passion for mental health and addiction recovery.
Shifts needed:
Saturdays & Sundays 7am - 7pm and Friday 7pm to 7am. Please no not apply if you have no availability on these days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for potential side effects or reactions.
- Provide nursing assessments and assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of patients, providing support and intervention when necessary.
- Document patient progress, behaviors, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond to medical emergencies and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
- Educate patients and families on health management, medication adherence, and recovery strategies.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes, including intake assessments and post-discharge planning.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical and operational policies, including state and federal regulations.
- Uphold a compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental approach to patient care.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a mental health, or behavioral health.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, medication administration, and crisis intervention.
- Knowledge of best practices in mental health and addiction treatment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule: This is a per-diem position with variable shifts depending on the needs of the facility.
