Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Paver Technician to join our landscape and hardscape team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in installing paver patios, driveways, walkways, retaining walls, and related hardscape features. This position requires leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to oversee crew members to ensure timely, high-quality project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a crew of 2–5 technicians on residential and commercial paver installations
• Interpret blueprints, site plans, and layout designs for accurate execution
• Prepare job sites including excavation, grading, base compaction, and drainage solutions
• Install pavers, edging, and jointing materials to industry standards
• Operate machinery such as skid steers, compactors, saws, and laser levels
• Ensure all work meets company and customer quality expectations
• Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to all safety regulations
• Communicate with clients on-site when needed and provide progress updates
• Train and mentor junior crew members to build team efficiency and skill levels
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in paver and hardscape installation
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints
• Skilled in grading, compaction, cutting, and laying various paver patterns
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to safely operate a large truck and 7' X 14' dump trailer
• Leadership ability and excellent communication skills
• Capable of physical labor in various weather conditions
