Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting in Port Charlotte, Florida. This is a contract role for the new school year, offering an opportunity to work within a supportive district that values professional growth and collaboration.
Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and providing individualized therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders. The position requires supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to ensure quality service delivery and effective treatment outcomes. The ideal candidate will work closely with educational teams, families, and other professionals to support students communication development and academic success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings
- Ability to supervise and mentor SLPAs effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of current best practices in speech-language therapy and educational standards
