Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field, active Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification, and 1+ years Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time virtual Deaf/Hard of Hearing Specialist opportunity is available to support a single 3rd grade student in an elementary school setting. This contract position is designed for educators skilled in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The role offers the flexibility of remote work with a structured schedule totaling five hours per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialized instructional support tailored to the needs of a 3rd grade student who is deaf or hard of hearing
- Delivering one hour of virtual instruction Monday through Friday
- Collaborating with educational staff and families to enhance the students learning outes
- Monitoring progress and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to meet individual goals
Desired qualifications:
- Certification or experience as a teacher for the deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong understanding of munication techniques and educational acmodations for students with hearing impairments
- Ability to engage and effectively instruct students in a virtual environment
- Excellent munication and organizational skills
Location: This is a remote position supporting a student based in Eastpoint, FL.
Contract duration: Immediate start, ending May 21st, 2026.
