Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Sonographer for a top Healthcare client.

This skilled technical role is responsible for operating specialized ultrasound equipment to create high-quality diagnostic images of internal structures, with an emphasis on vascular studies. The Sonographer analyzes technical data, assists in the detection of pathology, and collaborates with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic information crucial to patient care and treatment planning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform various complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures, adhering to established safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain specialized ultrasound equipment to capture and process high-quality images across a diverse patient population.
  • Specialize in performing vascular studies, applying knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately detect and document vascular patency and abnormalities.
  • Analyze the technical aspects of the ultrasound image and assessment data to provide physicians with accurate diagnostic information.
  • Maintain all equipment and ensure cleanliness of the room, notifying appropriate personnel of any necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Provide compassionate patient care, explaining procedures clearly and ensuring patient comfort and cooperation throughout the examination.
  • Document all procedures, findings, and technical data accurately and in a timely manner within the patient's record.

Requirements

Education

  • Associate Degree is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Sonography program is required (implied by certification).

Experience

  • Greater than two (2) years of professional Sonography experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience focused on vascular imaging is highly desirable (implied by the required certifications).

Certifications/Licenses

  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification must be obtained within one (1) year of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Skills

  • Proven technical proficiency in operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment and image analysis.
  • Strong knowledge base in cross-sectional and vascular anatomy and pathology.
  • Excellent professional communication and patient interaction skills.
