Job DescriptionStaff-Up is seeking a Horticultural Technician in Sarasota, FL 34203Hours: Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
(FLEXIBLE with hours)
Pay Rate: $18 (plus mileage reimbursement)
Summary:As a Horticulturist, you will be essential in cultivating and maintaining diverse plant life, ensuring healthy growth and vibrant landscapes.

- Must have a reliable personal vehicle available each workday for transportation to the accounts.
- Must undergo a thorough background check before starting work.
- Vehicle liability insurance and a valid driver’s license are to be in place at all times.
- Mileage compensation will be provided.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Manage and maintain plant collections for high-profile clients, including resorts, corporate offices, restaurants, and banks.
- Perform routine plant health assessments, including soil analysis, pest control, and pruning techniques.
- Coordinate with clients to design and implement visually appealing plant arrangements tailored to each space.
- Train new team members on plant care protocols and customer service standards.
- Consistently exceed client satisfaction metrics, earning commendations for reliability and quality of work .
Skills and Qualifications:- Must use own vehicle for routes- Must have a valid Driver License and vehicle insurance
- Must be able to lift 10 lb. water buckets and/or load and unload 40-50 lb. water machines throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb ladders and have good dexterous use of both hands. Must be able to use scissors, pruners, hand saws, hoses and other small tools.
- Must be able to professionally communicate with clients and have a neat and clean appearance. This work requires good vision, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and the ability to work a 10 hour day
