Job Summary

We are looking for an Automation and Maintenance Technician to support the setup, customization, maintenance, and repair of automated equipment in our dietary supplements manufacturing facility. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with foundational skills and a passion for hands-on technical work. You'll work closely with our Co-founder to learn the ropes, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to optimizing our production lines. With on-the-job training provided, this position offers excellent growth potential into a senior role for those who demonstrate aptitude and dedication.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in setting up and configuring automated equipment for producing gummies, liquid bottles, powders in stand-up pouches, and capsules.
  2. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing machinery, including PLC systems, robotics, and conveyor lines.
  3. Customize equipment settings to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
  4. Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve equipment issues, minimizing disruptions to daily operations.
  5. Participate in preventive maintenance schedules and document all work performed for quality control and regulatory purposes.
  6. Learn and apply safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment in a regulated manufacturing setting.
  7. Support inventory management for spare parts and tools related to automated systems.
  8. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, such as process optimizations and equipment upgrades.

Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or vocational certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or automation systems (e.g., familiarity with tools, wiring, or basic programming).
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn through hands-on training.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  6. Reliable transportation for on-site work; must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Entry-level experience in manufacturing, assembly, or equipment maintenance (e.g., internships, apprenticeships, or related roles).
  2. Knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, or control systems (training will be provided if needed).
  3. Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical industries is a plus.
