Our firm is seeking a legal assistant to join our Fort Lauderdale, FL office. This is a hybrid role - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
Our support staff is the foundation of our law firm, and this individual will have the opportunity to join this dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Finalizing correspondence, reports, memos, and court filings
- Answering telephone calls, emails, and faxes
- Ordering office supplies
- Requesting Expense Checks
- Maintaining Filing
- Preparing Motions
- Daily intake of attorney mail
- Maintenance of attorney calendars for court appearances, due dates, and client meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a law office in Florida
- Must be a true team player
- Must maintain a professional demeanor
- Strong ability to maintain communication and communicate in a professional manner
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Past experience with a document management system (NetDocuments preferred)
