Job Title: Certified Hand Therapist – Occupational Therapist
Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent (Contingent)
Location: Miami, Florida
Schedule: Days, Monday–Friday with Rotating Weekends
Work Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts

Job Summary
The Certified Hand Therapist (Occupational Therapist) is responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, and administering occupational therapy treatment programs as prescribed by a licensed physician. This role provides specialized hand therapy services to patients across the lifespan in both inpatient and outpatient settings while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide specialized hand therapy interventions in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Deliver age-appropriate, patient-centered care across diverse populations
- Coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to supportive staff
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
- Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and families
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and program development
- Comply with infection control standards, safety policies, and equipment training
- Demonstrate effective resource utilization to support operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Florida Occupational Therapy License
- 1–2 years of Hand Therapy experience required
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
