Job Description

Commercial Real Estate Paralegal (Remote - Florida Based)

The Firm: International Boutique Business Law Firm

Location: 100% Remote (The ideal candidate Must reside in Florida for jurisdictional knowledge)

Practice Area: Commercial Real Estate & Transactional Finance

About the Firm

We are an elite international boutique firm representing high-net-worth investors, developers, and global corporations. Unlike traditional "BigLaw" environments, we operate with a lean, tech-enabled team that prioritizes efficiency and results over rigid bureaucracy. We are pioneers in the use of innovative fee structures and strategic international "hubs," providing our staff with exposure to high-value, complex transactions that define the Florida landscape and beyond.

The Role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support our transactional practice. This is a 100% remote position, but candidates must be based in Florida to ensure a deep understanding of state-specific real estate statutes, closing customs, and title requirements. You will serve as the "engine" of the transaction, managing the lifecycle of a deal from LOI to post-closing.

Core Responsibilities

  • Transaction Management: Coordinate complex commercial closings, including acquisitions, dispositions, and multi-million dollar refinances.
  • Title & Survey: Review and analyze title commitments, exception documents, and surveys; prepare title objection letters and coordinate with title underwriters to clear encumbrances.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and manage first-round versions of closing sets, including deeds, bills of sale, incumbency certificates, and assignment of leases/contracts.
  • Due Diligence: Manage virtual data rooms and oversee the due diligence process for multifaceted real estate portfolios.
  • Closing Coordination: Prepare detailed closing statements (settlement statements), coordinate the flow of funds, and manage the execution and recordation of all legal instruments.
  • Corporate Governance: Assist with the formation of LLCs and other entities, including drafting operating agreements and obtaining EINs.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Paralegal specializing in Commercial Real Estate (residential-only experience will not be considered).
  • Location: Must be a current resident of Florida.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in title software (e.g., Qualia, DoubleTime), document management systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel for closing math.
  • Education: Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • The "Boutique" Fit: You must be a self-starter who can manage a closing checklist independently while working in a remote, high-accountability environment.

Why Apply?

  • High-Level Work: Manage sophisticated commercial deals without the "BigLaw" grind.
  • Full Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere in Florida while staying connected to a global team.
  • Innovative Culture: Join a firm that values technology and modern legal practices over "the way it's always been done."
