Responsibilities:
· Utilize your expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze and interpret spatial data for various coastal engineering and environmental projects.
· Develop and maintain geospatial databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
· Perform geospatial analysis and generate high-quality maps, charts, and reports to support project requirements.
· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate GIS data and analysis into project deliverables.
· Stay updated on the latest GIS trends, tools, and techniques, and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our GIS capabilities.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
· Strong proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and associated tools.
· Solid understanding of spatial data concepts, including coordinate systems, projections, and spatial analysis techniques.
· Experience in developing and managing geospatial databases.
· Ability to create visually appealing and informative maps and reports.
· Proficient in data collection using GPS and other field equipment.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams and clients.
· Experience with GIS programming languages (Python, VBScript, ESRI Model Builder, etc.) for tool creation/automation, geoprocessing, visualization, etc.
· Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Online, publishing vector and raster data to and creation of web maps, dashboards, ESRI StoryMaps, etc.
· Advanced vector data editing skills, geospatial analysis/problem solving, raster data analysis/creation/processing/management
· Remote sensing analysis/interpretation experience, including image classification, georectification, etc.
· 3d Mapping experience
