Job Title: Electronics Technician 3/4
Location On-site: Key West, FL
Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET clearance (U.S. must be eligible to work in the U.S. required)
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician 3/4 to join our growing Security and Electronic Systems (SES) team. This role supports the installation, configuration, and maintenance of advanced electronic security systems for mission-critical environments. You'll work with technologies including: Intrusion detection systems (IDS) Access control systems (ACS) CCTV/video surveillance Biometric authentication Audio/visual systems IT/network systems Command and control syste
Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot electronic and security systems Perform on-site system testing and quality assurance checks Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce safety compliance Terminate and test cables and devices (copper & fiber) Configure switches, servers, workstations, and network devices Maintain tool and material inventory on job sites Participate in commissioning and client walkthroughs Mentor entry level technicians and lead by example Communicate effectively with project teams and customers
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED plus one of the following:
- Military electronics training (720+ hours)
- Accredited Electronics Technician program
- Completed Electrical Apprenticeship
6+ years of electronics installation/maintenance experience
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Strong communication, time management, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform physical tasks daily
Eligible for U.S. Government SECRET clearance
Preferred: Certifications in systems such as CCURE, Lenel, Hirsch/Identiv, Bosch, BVMS, Aiphone, FFT, etc.
Experience with Windows OS, server/workstation config, and IP networking OSHA 30 certification
