Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or Education, active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, and a minimum 1+ years BCBA experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A professional opportunity is available for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide specialized support in an elementary educational setting located in Port Charlotte, FL. This role is ideal for a qualified professional passionate about working with young learners from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade (ages 3 to 11), offering critical behavioral support over the course of a school year contract.

Position Details:

  • Number of Openings: 1
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Days per Week: 5
  • Contract Duration: August 1, 2025 June 1, 2026
  • Caseload: Elementary students, PK-5th grade

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention support to students exhibiting challenging behaviors.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to inform decision-making.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in developing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), tailored to individual student needs.
  • Train and support teachers and paraprofessionals in the implementation of BIPs and effective data collection methods.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to create safe and positive learning environments.

Qualifications:

  • Current BCBA or BCaBA certification.
  • Experience working with young children in educational or clinical settings preferred.
  • Strong skills in data collection and behavioral analysis.
  • Ability to lead teams and effectively communicate behavioral strategies.
