Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Pipefitter to join our industrial construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipe installation, layout, and fabrication within industrial or commercial settings. You will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems according to specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and machines.
- Install, assemble, and secure pipes, supports, and fixtures.
- Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other methods.
- Work with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and PVC.
- Collaborate with welders, foremen, and other trades to ensure efficient project completion.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of pipefitting experience in industrial or commercial construction.
- Ability to read and interpret piping blueprints and schematics.
- Proficient in pipe layout, cutting, and threading.
- Familiar with safety standards, hand tools, and equipment operation.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel as needed.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with TIG/MIG welding (not required but a plus).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience in refineries, power plants, or manufacturing facilities.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Work Conditions:
- Typical workweek: 40–60 hours, overtime as required.
- Indoor and outdoor work environments, including elevated and confined spaces.
- PPE required: hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, and hearing protection.
