Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a well-established, highly respected Florida litigation firm seeking a top-tier Medical Malpractice Paralegal. This opportunity is intended for an experienced professional who has handled complex, high-stakes medical malpractice matters and can operate with minimal oversight.
This is not an entry- or mid-level role. The firm is prepared to offer top-of-market compensation for a candidate who brings depth, judgment, and proven med mal experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage medical malpractice cases from pre-suit through trial and post-trial
- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, and litigation correspondence
- Review, organize, and analyze extensive medical records
- Coordinate experts, prepare expert disclosures, and manage deposition materials
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, summaries, and timelines
- Handle discovery responses and e-discovery platforms
- Maintain litigation calendars and ensure all deadlines are met
- Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Provide direct trial preparation and courtroom support
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Substantial experience as a Medical Malpractice Paralegal (significant years required)
- Strong command of Florida medical malpractice litigation
- Proven experience managing complex discovery and expert-intensive cases
- Trial preparation experience is strongly preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Ability to manage a heavy caseload independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office
