Position Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our dynamic team. As a BHT, you will work directly with clients in our residential, detox, and outpatient programs, providing support and ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their treatment process. You will assist with daily activities, monitor clients, and help facilitate therapeutic environments, in accordance with Evolutions Treatment Center’s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise clients and ensure their safety and well-being throughout all levels of care (detox, residential, outpatient).
• Assist with admissions and discharges, providing orientation and helping new clients settle into the program.
• Monitor and report on client behavior, documenting interactions and any incidents that occur.
• Facilitate and supervise client activities, including therapeutic groups, recreational activities, and community outings.
• Assist with medication passes as directed by the medical team, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Monitor clients' completion of daily tasks and encourage participation in all required activities.
• Conduct room checks, manage client schedules, and ensure facility cleanliness in collaboration with other staff.
• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed, utilizing appropriate techniques.
• Ensure clients attend their scheduled appointments, groups, and meetings on time.
• Participate in shift handoffs, reporting relevant information about client status and any significant events.
• Perform drug and alcohol screenings as required and document results accurately.
• Support clients in developing healthy routines, life skills, and behavioral changes conducive to recovery.
• Comply with all Evolutions Treatment Center policies, including maintaining confidentiality, safety protocols, and client rights.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in the state of Florida (required).
• Experience working in mental health and/or substance abuse treatment (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
• Basic knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health protocols.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred).
• Valid Florida driver’s license (preferred).
