We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting legal operations for a high-volume firm specializing in consumer bankruptcy cases. The ideal candidate will have experience working in fast-paced environments and will be fluent in Spanish to effectively assist clients and team members. Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and file bankruptcy petitions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.

• Manage client communications, providing updates and gathering necessary documentation throughout the case process.

• Coordinate and maintain schedules, including court dates, meetings, and deadlines, to ensure smooth case progression.

• Assist with e-filing and submitting court-related documentation in accordance with established procedures.

• Collaborate with different departments to ensure files move efficiently through the bankruptcy process.

• Conduct research and gather information to support case preparation and legal proceedings.

• Maintain organized records and case files to ensure accessibility and proper documentation.

• Translate documents and communicate with Spanish-speaking clients to facilitate understanding and clarity.

• Provide administrative support to attorneys and other legal staff as needed.

• Stay updated on bankruptcy laws and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in all tasks.

• At least 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a related legal role.
• Proficiency in e-filing and managing court filings.
• Familiarity with civil litigation processes and calendar management.
• Ability to handle high volumes of cases in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken, to assist clients and team members.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and legal professionals.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy procedures and legal documentation is highly preferred.
